세상에 나쁜 사람은 없다 There is no one bad in the world

도서관에서 우연히 만난 책.

제목을 반박하고 싶은 다소 삐딱한 마음으로 빌렸다가 결국 제목을 이기지 못하고 책을 덮었다.

​

『세상에 나쁜 사람은 없다』는 짧은 이야기들을 묶어서 총 3부로 낸 소설집이다.

1부는 살짝 도파민이 도는 흥미로운 이야기들, 2부는 3가지 소원과 자신의 생명을 맞바꾸어 들어줄 수 있는 사람의 이야기, 3부는 작가 개인의 에세이 같은 느낌으로 읽었다.

그 중에서 1부 두 번째 이야기 '세상에 나쁜 사람은 없다' 가 계속 마음에 남았다.

예능 <세상에 나쁜 개는 없다> 에서는 사람이 개를 관찰하지만, 여기에서는 개가 사람을 관찰한다.

여기서는 행성을 지배하고 있는 존재가 개와 고양이라서 개의 입장에서 서술하는 이야기다.

'사람은 더 이상 가축이 아니다', '중성화를 하셔야 합니다.', '광활한 우주에 사람이 지배하는 행성' 등 입장을 바꾸어 보니 섬뜩한 느낌이 드는게 소설을 읽어가는 중간에도 자꾸 생각이 났다.

2부도 기억에 남는다.

2부 전체의 주인공은 누군가의 3가지 소원을 들어줄 수 있는 대신 3가지 소원을 모두 이루어주고 나면 자신이 생명을 잃는다.

맨 처음 소원을 들어주는 부분은 그래도 이해가 되긴 한데 두 번째 소원을 들어주는 장면은 이게 맞나, 하는 생각이 들긴 했다ㅋㅋ

3부는 소설보다는 일기? 에세이에 가까운 글들인데 시인인 작가의 감성적인 면이 두드러진다.

작가의 세상을 향한 따뜻한 시선이 담긴 인상적인 부분이 많아서 사진으로도 기록을 남겨 본다.

감성적인 글을 안 좋아한다고 생각하면서도 막상 읽고 나면 마음에 오래 남는 건 감성적인 글인 것 같다.

 

A book I ran into in the library.
I borrowed it with a rather twisted mind to refute the title, but eventually I couldn't beat the title and covered the book.

 

"There are no one bad in the world" is a collection of novels in three parts, combining short stories.
The first part was read with interesting stories that were slightly dopamine-like, the second part was a story of a person who could exchange his or her life for three wishes, and the third part was like an author's individual essay.

 

Among them, the second story of the first part, "There are no one bad in the world," was constantly in my mind.
In the entertainment show "There is no bad dog in the world", a person observes a dog, but here a dog observes a person. Here, dogs and cats dominate the planet, so it is a story described from the perspective of dogs.
When I changed my position, such as "People are no longer livestock," "You have to neutralize them," and "a planet dominated by people in a vast universe," I kept thinking of something creepy even in the middle of reading the novel.

 

Part two is also memorable.
Instead of being able to grant someone's three wishes, the protagonist of the entire second part loses his life after fulfilling all three wishes. I understand the part where the first wish comes true, but I wondered if this was the right scene for the second wish. 

 

The third part is a diary rather than a novel. These are essays, but the emotional aspects of the poet writer stand out.
There are many impressive parts that contain the artist's warm gaze toward the world, so I also record it with photos.
I don't think I like emotional writing, but after reading it, it seems that emotional writing remains in my mind for a long time.
